DESCRIPTION:
Two story 4-Square/Prairie/Craftsman. Orange brick. Composition roof. Gable roof; brackets and exposed rafters. Front gable roof above entry portico supported by brick piers and brackets. Full width raised open terrace w/iron railings. Recessed two story porte cochere on right w/stucco and half-timbering.
OF INTEREST: The original owner of this home had a medical degree, was an ordained Baptist preacher, a journalist, and an editor. In 1928, Dr. Cranfill was a candidate for Vice President of the United States on the Prohibition ticket. He walked daily to his office in downtown Dallas.
