DESCRIPTION:
Two story eclectic. Stucco. Composition roof. hip roof; deep overhang; large center dormer w/curved roof flanked by oval dormers. Slightly projecting center pavilion; arch over entry portico w/pilasters. Balconies w/wooden spindels under second floor windows. Swag has relief above main floor windows. Full width open raised terrace w/balustrade. Recessed two wtory wing on left.
OF INTEREST: Owned for two years by Dr. Marvin Stone, an eminent surgeon in Dallas for 40 years, the home was sold to Mr. Waggoner, an oilwell drilling magnate, known for –Spindletop”. Nicknamed the –White House”, the present owners bought and restored the home in 1989 which was in a ruined state after many years of neglect.
