Two
story eclectic. Red brick. Slate roof. Gable roof; large
front gable at right; smaller gable at center; bargeboards;
finials; brackets. Front chimney. Arched entry w/stone
and brick voussoirs. Carved transom panel over diamond
paned windows on right. Iron balconies on second floor.
Keystones above windows. Open raised terrace to left of
entry; iron railings. Recessed two story wing on left
w/French doors onto terrace. |

This residence was built for $27,000 for Judge Lively, the
senior member of the law firm Lively, Alexander, George and
Thuss. He served as assistant Dallas county attorney from
1900 until 1904 and was elected county judge for two terms. |
